School Projects

Parents were invited in to the girls' school last week to see poster presentations by the Middle School students on their recently completed projects. First up were the 6th graders, who had worked in pairs on projects related to ancient civilizations. Sage and her partner presented on Ancient Greece:

The following day, it was the turn of the 7th and 8th graders. The 8th graders' presentations had two separate components. One was to write a poem on the theme of love. Chloe's epic-length poem -- which she is standing next to in the photo below -- was a poem about her love of books:

The other part of the presentation was to research some extreme activity or phenomenon. Chloe presented on "extreme ironing" (and if (like me before last Thursday) you don't know what extreme ironing is, you can find out more here).

  1. Chloe & Sage seem to be thriving in their environment. Sage's Greek sculpture is impressive! And Chloe's poem..Wow! Her choice of the love of books was perfect. I love the paper design and how it's presented..that's the extreme ironing? (I'll have to consult Wikipedia.) I wish I could've listened to both girls' presentations. Congrats to Chloe & Sage!
