Kobe Beef

On the second night of Shelley's and my stay in Kobe, Shelley went back to Kyoto for a reiki share event, so I was on my own for dinner. Given where I was, together with the avoidance of red meat by the rest of my family, it seemed obvious that I should sample some of the world-renowned Kobe beef:



There were large numbers of Kobe beef restaurants on the main street to the north of Sannomiya Station:



I ended up at a fairly elegant establishment on the 5th floor of one of the high-rise buildings in the above photo. My meal centered on the beef, but also included several other courses:



The beef was grilled in front of me, together with an assortment of vegetables. I opted for a tenderloin, and it was indeed amazingly tender, as well as being very tasty!



Meanwhile, here is one of the Kobe beef restaurants that I had walked passed earlier in the day, and which -- unsurprisingly -- I opted not to patronize ...
