Some photographs need no explanation. This one probably doesn't fall in that category. I will explain it below, but first you should try to work out what is going on ...
Explanation:
This photo was actually taken on the same street and on the same day as both the cheese coffee and the iterated storefront photos. (What can I say? It was a strange street!). The above photo shows the front of an opticians, hence the glasses on display to the far left and far right. In the middle of the store window was a large, turquoise-framed mirror, but the central portion of the mirror was cut away so you could see through it to one of the display cases behind. I wanted to take a photo, but then realized I would be in the photo because of the mirror. However, I did manage to position myself so that the cut-away covered the camera. As I was taking the photo, a woman on a bicycle happened to go past right behind me. I only realized this after seeing the photo, and I also only then realized that there was a small wooden torso in the display case right where my own body would otherwise have been reflected. So the whole photo ended up being considerably more surreal than I had intended ... .
